The purchasing team's objective is to manage the tendering activity across the Consortium member Trusts in order to ensure that the best value for money is obtained for goods and services purchased

We split up all of the goods and services into nationally recognised categories and by analysing spend data from Trusts and Suppliers and by reviewing current contract arrangements we can develop strategies for future procurement activity, resulting in EU adverts being placed and tenders being sought

As well as this close working relationship with Trusts, we also work with the NHS-Purchasing and Supply Agency to develop and implement framework agreements that can bring benefits to Trusts and Suppliers nationally

We constantly strive to improve the way that procurement can support Trusts in delivering more efficient and effective services to end users and recognise that the only way to achieve this is by working together
