About HPC
Formed in 2001, the Healthcare Purchasing Consortium is the major NHS provider of purchasing, supply chain, healthcare contracting and commercial services across the West Midlands and North Central London
The partnership works on behalf of more than 40 NHS Trusts who together spend £2.4 billion a year on goods and services. Our aim is to maximise their purchasing power, secure the best value for money and deliver savings and services that enhance patient care.
The Consortium has five key objectives
- To SELECT and choose the most appropriate products for its stakeholders
- To PROCURE products ensuring that they are ordered, handled and paid for in the most efficient way possible
- To achieve best possible PRICES for all goods and services
- To ensure reliable supply of STOCK while minimising stock levels
- To USE the right amounts of goods and ensure that there is no waste
